Ministries

Our parish is proud to host two ACTS retreats a year, alongside the local Catholic communities of Arnaudville, Cecilia, and Grand Coteau. Together we host one men's retreat every spring and one women's retreat every fall. Please keep up with our bulletins and the announcements in our liturgy so that you don't miss when registration opens, because spots are limited for each retreat!

Join us on Wednesday mornings for a community rosary immediately following the 8am mass at St Leo the Great. After the rosary, our group moves to the St Leo the Great hall to enjoy community time with coffee and biscuits. All are welcome!

Our faith community has several groups who meet together regularly for Bible Study using the Come Lord Jesus! program. If you are interested in joining a preexisitng group or starting your own, please contact the office!

That Man is You is our parish men's group that meets on Thursday mornings at 5am in the St Leo the Great Hall, starting Setpember 17th. All men in our Leonville Catholic Community are invited and encouraged to attend!

She Shall be Called Woman is our parish women's group that meets on Friday mornings at 5am in the St Leo the Great Hall, starting Setpember 25th. All women in our Leonville Catholic Community are invited and encouraged to attend!

Our faith community partners with the Catholic Churches in Arnaudville, Cecilia and Port Barre for our Teens on the Teche youth group programs. Please contact the office if you would like to assist with these events, or if would like updates on events for your teens!

Please contact the office if you would like to be involved in the important ministry of ministering to those who are suffering a sudden and devestating loss, particularly by preparing meals for mourning families

Our  St. Joseph's Altar is one of the biggest annual minsitries in our faith community.  Please contact the office if you would like to assist in this work

The PPC is involved in most activities and programs effecting the liturgical and spiritual life of our churches. These are elected/appointed positions, but any active parishoners can be nominated when there are vacancies.

Advises the Pastor on financial matters of the parish and school. Responsible for monitoring all income and expenses, and approving the annual budgets. These are elected/appointed positions, but any active parishoner is free to be nominated whenever there are vacancies.

Parish volunteers who warmly welcome parishioners as they enter the Church for Mass, and assist with the collection at the offertory in mass.

Duties include preparing the books and sacred vesseks before Mass and helping to clear the sanctuary after Mass. Please contact the office of you are interested in assisting our liturgy in this way.

These are our liturgical readers who proclaim the Scriptures at Mass and other services. Please contact the office if you are interested in assisting our parish liturgies as a lector.

These are our extraordinary ,inisters of Holy Communion who serve the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and to the sick and homebound. Contact the office if you are interested in joining this ministry.

Join us for Eucharistic adoration every first friday of the month, starting immediately after the 6:30am mass and lasting until 12pm noon. Location alternated between the three churches, please contact the office to find out locations.

There is additional opportunity for Eucharistic adoration on the Saturday of the first full weekend of the month, from 3-4pm at St leo the Great Church
